As usual, Punchline Media brings you their monthly Chuckle Club series in May as well! Read below the profiles of the three stand-up comedians who will be flown to Bahrain to entertain us!

DAMIAN CLARK

Australian Damian Clark kicked off his comedy career with winning the Perth Comedy Fringe Award in 2000 and hasn’t stopped since.

His first solo show The Bandit was a recipient of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Moosehead Award, which led to touring all over Australia in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Road Show.

After acclaimed TV performances on comedy talkshow “ROVE LIVE & ABC’s STAND-UP!” and created & starred in The Comedy Channel’s – “DAMO DOES EDINBURGH”, Damian was also a member of the debut breakfast crew for Perth's, then brand new station, Nova. The show known as “Damo, Nat & Craig” soon rocketed to number 1 in the ratings.

In 2005 Damian left the sunny shores of Down Under and moved to Ireland, within weeks he was hailed ‘The No.1 event to see' and 'Cream of the crop’ (InDublin Magazine). Soon after arriving Clark became a regular feature in RTE's IFTA Award-winning “REPUBLIC OF TELLY” and a comedy panelist in 3 series of TV3’s “THE APPRENTICE: YOU’RE FIRED!” As well as that Damian and fellow comic Andrew Stanley wrote & starred in their own series “I DARE YA!” which became the highest rating Irish comedy debut to date.

Now based in London, Damian’s rambunctious and uplifting stand up can be seen in clubs & festivals all over the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. He was hand picked to support Jack Dee and Kevin Bridges on national tours and is a much sort after headliner and MC.

Now is the time to catch this raw talent as he stands on the cusp of super stardom.

JOJO SUTHERLAND

This charismatic comic performs in major comedy clubs across the UK and Europe where she is in as much demand for her compere abilities as she is for her comedy routine. Her natural stage presence alongside her "healthy neglect" attitude to children and life in general has proved extremely popular amongst many and varied audiences. She is regularly requested to support other comics on tour the likes of which have included Jenny Eclair , 4 poofs and a piano and most recently Tom Stade She is also a TV Warm up artist for the BBC1 sitcom "The Old Guys" and for Pappy’s new sitcom “ Badults” which will air on BBC3

A regular contributor to several newspapers, Jojo also undertakes a variety of work including radio presenting, voiceovers, theatre performance and film .

Jojo is a much sought after speaker at dinner and corporate events which she tailors to the individuals needs.

Since 2006 Jojo has run comedy workshops for Universal Comedy (http://www.universalcomedy.info ) which uses comedy as a tool to enhance self confidence and self esteem amongst people who suffer long term ill health and mental health issues

She has performed at The Edinburgh Festival since 2000 with her own theatre company One Handed Women which has written and produced several shows including "Wife Idol – The Rivals" which was based on Jojo's own experience of the award winning channel 4 programme Wife Swap.

In 2006 Jojo performed her first full length stand up show "Funny Money" to great acclaim and in 2009 her second stand up show "Jojo Sutherland stands up for herself" at the famous Stand Comedy Club and the following year as part of a record number of females performing a solo show with Jojo Sutherland goes for the jocular.

2012 saw Jojo co-write and perform a 6 part sketch show called “The Gates” which aired on BBC radio Scotland

MATT FORDE

Labour-advisor turned stand-up comedian Matt Forde hosts the critically acclaimed monthly live topical stand up show ‘Matt Forde’s Political Party’ at London’s St James Theatre. Performing to a mixture of politicos and the politically inquisitive, Matt has brought Parliament to life with his stand-up and debate with some of the Government’s most notorious figures, including George Galloway, Nigel Farage, Jack Straw, Lembit Opik, Charles Clarke, Matthew Parris and Tim Loughton. Also available to download as a podcast from iTunes and with over 25,000 followers on Soundcloud, The Political Party has been picked as the Daily Telegraph’s podcast of the week and has hit the top spot on the iTunes comedy chart.

A frequent guest on current affairs shows, Matt has been a panellist on Have I Got News For You (BBC One), a sofa guest on This Week (BBC One) and has performed stand-up and written for Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three). Other writing credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and The Last Leg (Channel 4). Matt can be heard on the radio on The Now Show & The News Quiz (both BBC Radio 4) and on his own weekly show on TalkSPORT. He regularly reviews the newspapers for Sky News and has contributed to features on ITV’s evening news.
